"This is the real McCoy! I take no short cuts and aim to produce the best sloe gin in the world. Sloes are picked painfully and at great expense in local hedgerows then spend a full 12 months sitting in our own Gin. You will be hit by a distinct aroma of almonds (which comes from the stones of the fruit) and a rich, nutty, plummy aftertaste, which is quite distinctive. High in alcohol at 26% and distinctly on the dry side. I like to try to get the right balance between the astringency of the sloes and the sweetness of the small amount of sugar I use. If it seeks out the crevices in your cheeks then I have got it right. Lovely evening nightcap liqueur and the greatest of the winter warmers. Excellent in a hip flask for long walks with the dog and we sell a lot to shooting parties (though one has to wonder at the wisdom of this in the circumstances!)." -- John Kemp, Winemaker.

This is made in exactly the same way as the drier sloe gin with sloes enjoying long, long steeping in alcohol but made in a slighter more traditional sweeter version. One for my mum to enjoy. But still has a nice bite at the end so there is no doubt you are drinking a class sloe gin. Actually depending on my mood I find I enjoy this more than the drier one sometimes.

Almost as good as sloe gin but rather more plentiful so it is a little cheaper. It has a lovely almondy nose, which comes from the stones of the fruit with a rich plummy taste. Great after dinner, on winter walks and we sell a lot to shooting parties.
